Tarotez gives you a card, a reading of your actual question, and something to think with. It does not tell you what is going to happen, and it will not pretend to.
What this is
You write a question, pick your cards, and get a reading of the spread against what you asked. The interpretation is written by a language model working from the Rider-Waite-Smith tradition, and it is instructed to do one specific job: describe the situation you are in clearly enough that you can weigh it.
The useful measure of a reading here is not whether it comes true. It is whether you did anything differently for having read it — including deciding it was wrong, which is a result and often the more informative one.
How it works, and what it will not do
The deck, read properly
Rider-Waite-Smith, with the symbolism taken seriously. The Devil is drawn with the chains hanging loose because the trap is voluntary; The Fool is numbered zero because he stands outside the sequence rather than at the start of it. Details like that are the reading.
A model does the interpreting
Your question and your cards go to a language model, which writes the reading. That is the mechanism and we would rather say it plainly than dress it up. What matters is the instruction it works under: describe the situation, never forecast it.
Nothing is kept by default
A reading exists for as long as the request takes and is then gone — the question is never written to our database unless you press "Keep this reading" afterwards. That is not a policy we intend to follow, it is how the thing is built.
No prediction, including when you want one
We will not tell you whether someone loves you, whether the job comes through, or what happens next. Nothing can. The readings that claim otherwise are why tarot has the reputation it does, and declining is the whole product.
Who this is not for
If you want to know when you will meet someone, whether your ex is coming back, or which day to sign the contract, this will frustrate you — and any site that answers those questions is making it up. Tarotez is also not therapy, not medical, legal or financial advice, and not a substitute for asking someone who actually knows.
